We offer the choice of grand or intimate rooms and spaces, as well as some creative dining options so you can create a truly individual wedding.
We are licensed to hold civil ceremonies so you can marry here and celebrate afterwards or you can just choose us for your reception venue!
Our newest space, the Secret Garden, is located in our gardens where you can wed to the sound of the Armstrong Waterfall only steps away - and it has a full stocked bar, too!
Marry in the Secret Garden, in our very own Enchanted Forest. Take in the views of leafy Jesmond Dene with the sounds of the tranquil waterfall in the background.
After the ceremony, celebrate with your guests and create your very own garden party with music and magical festoon lighting, then feast under the stars with a Jesmond Dene House style BBQ.
We've two options with this space:
Ceremony & Secret Garden Hire - hire of the Secret Garden for your Wedding Ceremony, Aperitif and Evening Turnaround.
Evening Turnaround - use of the Garden Bar for Apertif and Evening Turnaround.
A double-height room with oak panelling, minstrels' gallery, vast fireplace and lofty windows, The Great Hall can be used for larger wedding ceremonies of up to 114 guests. For an evening wedding part with entertainment, the Hall can take up to 130 guests for drinks and dancing. We have smaller rooms available which can accommodate six people up to 30, allowing for a more intimate arrangement.
We also have three smaller rooms available which can accommodate between 4-30, allowing for a more intimate arrangement.
Everything from intimate weddings, bridal-showers, supper parties, pre-wedding & rehearsal dinners, late wedding breakfasts or evening cocktails and canapés!
After dancing the night away, we have cosy bedrooms for you to kick back and relax. The hotel has 40 individually designed bedrooms which all vary in size and character. Our check-in is from 3.00pm and check-out is 11:00am.
We know weddings can kick off early, so we are happy to store luggage at reception until check-in if required. An early-check in cannot be guaranteed, so if guests are travelling, we recommend staying the night before - why not make it a getaway?
And of course, the honey-moon suite is for the newly-weds. Located above the Great Hall, the 'Apartment Suite' has it's own entrance with a staircase leading up to a private lounge, bedroom and double bathroom. The added extra of a private terrace is perfect for sneaking away for a quiet moment and toasting to being newly-weds.
