Our Jesmond Dene House wedding team love weddings. They have an eye for detail, plenty of experience and a little black book of contacts to ensure your day runs smoothly, and fabulously.
Heading the events department is Christina our Wedding and Events Manager. Christina has been part of the Jesmond Dene House family for almost seven years, and has been here to see the venue go through many changes, some of which have been her own vision including the recent Great Hall Reception Room refurbishment and addition of our newest dreamy outdoor wedding and events space, The Secret Garden. From the initial contact and planning, to seeing the couple’s dreams come to life on the day, Christina loves that each couples day is completely unique to them, and loves creating a special friendship along the way.
Favourite wedding moment: The moment the curtains open as the bride is about to walk down the aisle, guests get the first glimpse of her and hearing everyone gasp and take a breath in awe is a truly magical moment.

Favourite wedding tip: ‘Make sure you have five minutes to yourself to stand back and enjoy seeing everyone you love in the same room celebrating.’

Favourite wedding moment: ‘Showing the wedding couple the room for the first time before they go in and sit down for their meal, it’s the first time they will see their vision come to life after all of their hard planning. This is also the moment I will chat to them about speeches and give them a few encouraging words to ease any nerves.’
Executive Head Chef Danny Parker, finalist on BBC2 MasterChef the Professionals and BBC Great British Menu has redesigned the menus using ingredient led dishes.
At Jesmond Dene House, we understand that food is one of the most important elements to a wedding, as this part of the day will leave a lasting impression on the guests – and you want them to be talking about your wedding for all the right reasons! We appreciate that everyone's tastes are different, so we are happy to work with our couples to create bespoke, tailor-made menus using their favourite flavours. As well as sit down banqueting menus, we can also create something a little more relaxed and informal like sharing boards or bespoke buffet menus to reflect the couples style and personalities. We pride ourselves on using fresh, local, seasonal produce, some even from the hotel garden.
Favourite dish from the wedding menu: ‘It’s got to be something indulgent that will wow the guests with every mouthful; Slow Roasted Fillet of Heritage Beef, Gratin Potato, Confit Shallot, Fine Beans, Black Truffle Jus’
