JESMOND DENE HOUSE – ROAD TO REOPENING (updated 11/09/20)
Dear Family and Friends of Jesmond Dene House.
Firstly, we hope that you are all continuing to manage to stay safe and healthy as we navigate our way through these exceptional times.
Since our closure in March, we have continued to closely monitor the Government and Industry advice and guidelines related to safe return to pre-lockdown operations. As schools have reopened and more people have been able to return to work, small group gatherings can now be safely managed, and we believe it is time for us to safely welcome our guests back, in a planned and controlled manner.
Earlier this month, in accord with all current health and safety best practice, we successfully held our first wedding since having to close. As followers of our social media channels will attest, not only did this mean a great deal to our Bride and Groom, it meant almost as much to our devoted staff. We now consider our Wedding Venue fully operational under the maximum 30 guests’ restriction and have many more planned through to the rest of the year. Our staff are delighted to welcome you back.
In the same spirit, building on the careful approach we have adopted thus far, we next plan to resume providing accommodation from 9th October 2020. Commensurate to all we have done thus far, after meticulous planning, we are confident that we can welcome back guests for overnight stays in a way that reconciles our dedication to safety with our commitment to offering memorable experiences. We will begin by offering bed and breakfast: ultimately, with the ambition to resume our other Restaurant operations soon thereafter. From today onwards, guests will be able to make reservations via email (e: firstname.lastname@example.org) and our website (w: www.jesmonddenehouse.co.uk).
We remain aware that these are uncertain times, and we will be vigilant towards changes in the current pattern of positive virus cases, and will do all we believe necessary to put the safety of our guests and staff at the foremost of our plans towards a fully operational Jesmond Dene House.
We are tremendously grateful for your patience during these difficult times. We cannot wait to welcome you all home and, by returning, you will be making your contribution towards ensuring that this special place continues to be the stage for people to make memories of a lifetime.
Best wishes, from our house to yours,
Jesmond Dene House Directors
