Our two AA rosette restaurant is open to all diners, both non-resident as well as those guests staying with us.
We serve from breakfast through to dinner and our menus focus on simple dishes, done well; nothing tricksy, just honest flavours, locally sourced produce and plenty of attention to detail.
GUILT-FREE DINING IN JANUARY
We’ve all over indulged on eating and drinking during the festive season and are now longing for a healthier diet during January. In fact for most of us it’s number one on our Resolution list. To help us all out the Jesmond Dene House chefs have come to the rescue and created a new, lighter fixed-price menu infused with quality ingredients, lots of flavour and freshness, and a touch of Asian styling – all for a great price to ensure dining out in January can not only be healthier for your figure but also your bank balance!

And you don’t have to stay overnight to enjoy Jesmond Dene House breakfasts. It’s a great way to fit in a business meeting, and still have the rest of the day free.

LUNCH AND DINNER A LA CARTE
OUR SEASONALLY-CHANGING A LA CARTE MENU HAS BOTH WELL-LOVED FAVOURITES AND FRESH NEW IDEAS. SERVED IN THE RESTAURANT FOR A MORE FORMAL SETTING BUT ALSO THE COCKTAIL BAR AND BILLIARD ROOM FOR A MORE RELAXED, INFORMAL ENVIRONMENT.
Our A la Carte menu offers a wide range of fresh, light and tempting dishes allowing you the flexibility to eat as little or as much as you like. Driven by the seasons, and using the freshest of ingredients, Executive Head Chef, Michael Penaluna, and his team use classic techniques but with a contemporary approach to produce exciting Modern British dishes.
Monday – Saturday: 12.00pm – 9.30pm
Simple Food available: 12.00pm - 5.00pm
Sunday: 5.00pm - 9.30pm
Our afternoon teas are all about indulgence: finger sandwiches, sausage rolls and melt-in-your-mouth quiche, three types of scone – plus clotted cream, of course – home-made jams, and a gorgeous selection of wicked cakes. We aim to serve one of the best afternoon teas in Newcastle – maybe the North East! Something to celebrate? We offer a Champagne afternoon tea or, for something deliciously different add a glass of alcoholic tea from Noveltea or a Cocktail from our summer list.
Choose a sofa in the Cocktail Bar or Billiard Room, a table in the Garden Room or, if the sun is shining, a table on the terrace. If you want an afternoon tea party for a group of people, that’s fine; just let us know.
Or just enjoy a cup of tea (over a dozen to choose from) and something sweet.
Booking recommended, although we will do our best to squeeze you in.
